Dear Mr.Truss,
We are from Ms.Shea and Miss.Yee's class. We are trying to promote an Earth hour at our school. We were hoping to do earth hour for one hour every last Friday of the month starting January 8th.
We were hoping that you could announce it over the intercome before it starts,like, " The Maple Leaf hour is about to begin. Please turn off your heaters and lights." So we have got information from Ms. Guss that the preschoolers sleep during 12:30 to 2:00 so we can turn of the lights during these hours. And we have found out that Ms.Kandi dosen't teach Robotics and ICT on Mondays and Fridays. We think this is a good idea because it will save money and the environment. We are really looking forward to this event.
We also wanted to tell you that we would like put posters on the hall and give a little speech about it during the next assembly. We hope that would be okay with you.

Dear Mr. Truss, We are from Ms. Shea and Miss Yee’s class. We are trying to promote an event called ‘Maple Minutes’ at our school. We are hoping to do ‘Maple Minutes’ for 45 minutes every last Friday of the month starting January 15th or March 5th. We think this is a good idea because it will save money and the environment. HOW Money: We will use less electricity, so we will pay less money. Environment: Electricity usually use coal which we have to burn and if we burn the coal, it pollutes the air so global warming will take place. We are hoping that you could announce it over the intercom before it starts like “The Maple Minutes is about to begin. Please turn off your heaters and lights.” All the bathroom lights are off. So anyone who wants to go to the bathroom should go before it starts. We also have got information from Ms. Guss that the preschoolers sleep during 12:30 to 2:00. (so it will start at 12 : 30 and finish at 1:15) Also, when students or teachers want to move, please tell them to be careful because it is dark on hallway and stairs.
